PT. BERKAT UNGGUL PRATAMA was founded in Jakarta in 1986 under the name of PT. Intrapenta Jaya Sakti. PT. Intrapenta Jaya Sakti was started as a small family business specializing in synthetic leather for upholstery and acting as the sole agent of Nuvrino, i.e. PVC synthetic leather from LG Chem (South Korea) for nearly 15 years. In addition to that, PT. Intrapenta Jaya Sakti is also collaborating with local synthetic leather factories in developing various PVC synthetic leather products and distributing to all customers in major cities across Indonesia.

In 2006, PT. BERKAT UNGGUL PRATAMA was formed as spin-off from PT. Intrapenta Jaya Sakti due to its business expansion for overseas partners in genuine leather, wallcoverings and carpet tiles. While PT. Intrapenta Jaya Sakti is only concentrating more on synthetic leather for middle and low market segment customers, PT. BERKAT UNGGUL PRATAMA is specializing in catering to interior designers with high quality interior products for various projects.
